$150 Million Will Be Invested For Renewable Energy By The South Australian Government

The Climate Group reported that the South Australian government has announced they will invest $150 million in renewable energy projects. South Australia has been leading in renewable achievements and climate action in the country.

The state is targeting zero emission by the year 2050 and working to increase energy efficiency in government buildings. Not to mention, solar rooftop installations for residential and commercial properties are at an all-time high.

South Australia’s climate solutions include:

  • Solving issues with intermittent power supply coming from wind and solar.
  • Tesla will build the world’s largest lithium-ion battery plant in the state.
  • The Aurora Solar Energy Project thermal power plant will meet 100% of South Australia’s power needs once operational
