Australia Can Double Its Solar Capacity This Year

Australia can double its solar capacity by the end of this year as reported by Futurism.

Here are some of the current details of solar development in Australia:

  • As of January 2018, it was recorded that 69% more rooftop panels were installed as compared to the same time last year.
  • New South Wales is working on 11 new solar farm projects in total.
  • In Queensland, there are 18 industrial projects under construction, which is the highest number to date.

According to Australian power broker company SolarChoice, 1 in 5 Australian homes already have solar power system installed on their roof. According to John Martin of SolarChoice, electricity costs are rising in Australia, while solar installations are becoming cheaper.
