Australia Post Invested in a Massive 2.1 MW Rooftop PV

Australia Post has announced its latest commercial investment by going for a massive 2.1 megawatt solar power system installation on its Sydney parcel facility located in Chullora as reported by One Step Off The Grid.

The solar power project is one of the biggest single rooftop arrays in the country. It was completed last month and is expected to be operational by the end of the year. The solar power system will save Australia Post $800,000/year in energy cost.

The solar power installation will reduce our operational costs, enabling us to invest more in the products and services our customers want from Australia Post. Our investments in improving energy and cost efficiency of our buildings have already saved us $40 million. This project is a strong example of our commitment towards leading with environmentally sustainable business outcomes.

Janelle Hopkins, Australia Post Group Chief Financial Officer
