The numbers also show that the average system size has gone up twice from 3 kilowatts to 6 kilowatts as the average price continues to go down.
The data collected by the Clean Energy Regulator in 2017 reflects the industry is going from strength to strength. It looks like 2018 will be another big year for the solar industry.

Last 2017, there was a 41% increase in installed renewable energy capacity in all states and territories as compared to 2016. Queensland was leading with an installed capacity of 295 megawatts and the ACT takes the top place for the largest yearly increase of 57%.
