Bids Sent To South Australia for $150M Fund for Renewable Technology

The South Australian government has received 60 bids from different companies turning their focus on its new $150 million Renewable Technology Fund as reported by Energy Digital.

The bids include a diverse range of:

  • Next generation renewable technology
  • Power storage technologies
  • Compressed air
  • Flywheel
  • Pumped hydro
  • Bioenergy
  • Thermal

The Renewable Technology Fund will not only help deliver clean, reliable and affordable power, it will also create new energy and renewables jobs in South Australia.
We are investing in these technologies as part of our plan to improve grid security and put downward pressure on power prices.

The creation of the fund corresponds with the construction of the Tesla’s largest battery located in South Australia.
