Tesla CEO and Renewable energy entrepreneur Elon Musk stated that he can rebuild the Puerto Rico electrical infrastructure using his solar energy technology, [as reported by BBC News.](http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41524220)

After the island was hit by Hurricane Maria, the power grid suffered malfunctions. A majority of the island is without power.

> The Tesla team has done this for many smaller islands around the world, but there is no scalability limit, so it can be done for Puerto Rico too. Such a decision would be in the hands of the PR govt, PUC, any commercial stakeholders and, most importantly, the people of PR.
