A start-up accelerator program that is dedicated to giving support to entrepreneurs designing renewable energy products and technologies has started in Sydney.
The Chippendale-based EnergyLab has granted four companies $50,000 each to spend 12-24 months, bringing their green-tech products and services to the market.
Most start-up incubators give entrepreneurs 90 days to develop their products as stated by co-founder Piers grove. The companies include Eveeh, Iron Matrix, BlueVolt and Energy Assist.
The first batch of start-ups moved into the EnergyLab last week at the University of Technology Sydney, where the batch will get dedicated mentors, office space and partnership opportunities as they bring their ideas to reality. Grove also added that the clean energy accelerator program was unique in the Australian market, where software and technology start-ups were the prevailing trend.
