Saudi-owned solar developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures has received approval to construct 2 more Queensland projects located in Clare near Ayr and in Tieri in central Queensland.
FVR Australia announced the go signal and said the locations were ideal for solar power and with strong support for clean, renewable energy generation. It also coincides as fund managers Lighthouse Infrastructure and DIF last month announced that they had each acquired 50% interest in the 125 megawatts Clare Solar Farm project. The project is estimated to cost around $190 million to build.
The solar company said the 2 projects would add 141 megawatts to its 281 megawatts of solar projects.
