The South Korean battery storage manufacturer, LG Chem has claimed the biggest share of the fledging Australian market, stated that solar and battery storage is already beating grid power in most states.
The assessment by LG Chem follows a similar study by private energy consultants and suggests that the market for solar battery storage could be about to take off, even with pending threats of restrictions.
So far, LG Chem has found Queensland and New South Wales markets to be the strongest for battery storage. Consumers in regional areas are interested because of the potential of solar batteries as back up.
