Queenslanders Switched to Solar Panels in The Last 12 Months

There was twice as much solar energy capacity installed on Queensland rooftops in August 2017 than the average per month between January to October of 2016 as reported by the Brisbane Times. 

According to Green Energy Markets director Tristan Edis, there are 2 reasons the market has grown so quickly:

  1. Electricity price rises and talk of blackouts.
  2. Consumers respond to what they see in the media before responding to what they see on their power bills.
