One of Australia’s biggest pork producers is planning to have four of its piggeries in Western Australia run on 100% renewable energy as reported by ABC News.
Westpork has taken the needed steps for the $4 million, 2.2-megawatt wind and solar project with the installation of solar power systems at three of its properties.
The company has partnered with Advanced Energy Resources for their renewable plan which will involve solar, wind and possibly biogas systems in their piggeries.
