Renewable Energy Index Reveals Encouraging Renewable Stats

The Renewable Energy Index which has just been launched has shown renewable energy sources in Australia produced enough electricity to power 70% of households in Australia, reports news.com.au. The energy market analyst, Green Energy markets will be publishing a monthly index so that Australians can follow the renewable sector that includes job creation, pollution reduction, increased power supply and power bill savings from rooftop solar

The 2016-2017 Benchmark Report was funded by GetUp and revealed that power provided by renewables was predominantly from hydro and wind. Placing in 3^rd is solar rooftops.

The Renewable Energy Index will help the renewable industry to:

Add enough electricity to power an additional 1.5 million homes
Reduce carbon pollution
Create jobs
