The Solar Power Tree is offering a way to provide renewable energy in highly populated urban areas where space is restricted. The solar tree is manufactured by a start-up company using patented technology from CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute as reported by The Hindu.

The 3 kilowatt-hour Solar Power tree is sufficient enough to meet the needs of a middle class family, without depending on grid power.
