Sonnenwagen Aachem and Covestro Team up for Australian Solar Race

A group of students at RWTH Aachen University and Aachen University of Applied Sciences has dedicated their efforts to the development of a solar-powered electric car for one of the toughest solar car races in the world: the World Solar Challenge 2017. The race will take place from October 8-15 in Australia. To pursue their project, the 45 junior researchers established the Sonnenwagen Aachen e.V.  Association.

Leading supplier of sustainable material solutions, Covestro, has also signed a cooperation agreement with the Sonnenwagen project as both material and technical service provider and Gold Sponsor.
