The Guardian reported that South Australia now has some of the most affordable power in the country and is exporting.
According to an energy expert at the University of Melbourne, Dylan McConnell, this is the direct result of the closure of the Hazelwood coal power station in Victoria.
Since July, South Australia’s energy climate has changed. Prices in the state have been going down, first in Victoria’s prices and then becoming second cheapest on the mainland for the past 2 years.
