Tesla has been reported to be working with Vestas in building and installing batteries at the wind farms the two companies are building as reported by Electrek.
Tesla has also won their first contract to install Powerpacks at a hybrid (solar+wind) energy project. Windlab of Australia is taking care of the $160 million renewable project located at the Kennedy Energy Park, north of Queensland.
Windlab announced that they have received financing from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) as Tesla, Vestas and Quanta have been chosen for the project.
The project is estimated to be constructed in a span of a year and is expected to be completed and to be operational by the end of 2018.
