The world’s first solar-powered railway will start operation in Byron Bay this week as reported by the Traveller.
The project is lead by the owners of resort Elements of Byron and their development director Jeremy Holmes.
The Byron Bay Railroad Company has restored a vintage 1949 NSW train that will carry passengers between North Beach Station and the centre of Byron bay town.
Talks have been made for at least another stop to be installed along the line at Discovery Park between Elements and Byron. The train will start full service by January next year.
