Zen Energy To Be Major Player In Renewables and Storage After SA Government Signed Deal

South Australia’s Premier Jay Weatherhill announced that British billionaire Sanjeev Gupta’s SIMEC ZEN will provide over 80% of the South Australian government’s energy requirements in 2018 as reported by Energy Storage.

Developer SolaReserve is presently providing a 150-megawatt solar thermal power plant with eight hours’ energy storage duration in South Australia’s Port Augusta.

Once completed and operational in 2019, it will enable SIMEC ZEN to supply power to all the state government’s electricity demand.
